- H. Amdt. 1374, Estuary Amendment: Increased funding for the National Estuary Program and Coastal Waterways to the President’s request for FY 17 and the Senate’s proposed funding level of $27.191 mil (additional $468k). Passed the House on 7/14/16.
- Tax Counseling for the Elderly Amendment: Increased the minimum funding level for Tax Counseling for the Elderly Program by 50% (additional $3.25 mil). Amendment passed the House on 7/7/16.
- Modeling and Simulation Amendment: Increased the Research, Development, Test and Evaluation, Army account by $5 million. This money will help the University of Central Florida’s Veteran Trauma Management Therapy program. Amendment passed the House on 6/16/16.
- H.R. 19, Servicemember Foreclosure Protections Extention Act of 2015: Extends for one year, the one-year period after a servicemember’s military service that the servicemember is protected from any sale, foreclosure, or seizure of their property without a court order or waiver agreement signed by the service member. - Audit the Fed Amendment: Provides for an annual audit of the Federal Reserve. Amendment passed the House on 11/19/15.
- Elderly Housing Amendment: increased funding for Housing for the Elderly by $2.5 million. Amendment passed the House on 6/9/15.
- Fair Housing Amendment: Increased funding for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity by $150K. Amendment passed the House on 6/9/15.
- Fusion Research Program: Authorizes fusion research program within the Department of Energy. Amendment passed the House on 5/20/15.
- Energy Frontier Research Centers Amendment: Authorizes Energy Frontier Research Centers program within the Department of Energy. Amendment passed the House on 5/20/15.
- H.R. 3943: ‘To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to extend for one year the above-the-line deduction for qualified tuition and related expenses.’ Extended the tax deduction for qualified tuition and related expenses, for one year. Introduced as H.R. 3943 on 1/28/14. included in H.R. 5771, which became Public Law No: 113-295 on 12/19/14.
- H.R. 3946: ‘To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to extend for one year the employer wage credit for employees who are active duty members of the uniformed services.’ Extend, for one year, the employer wage tax credit for employees who are active duty members of the uniformed services. Introduced as H.R. 3946 on 1/28/14. included in H.R. 5771, which became Public Law No: 113-295 on 12/19/14.
- H.R. 3951: ‘To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to extend for one year the credit for energy-efficient new homes.’ Extended for one year, the tax credit for energy-efficient new homes. Introduced as H.R. 3951 on 1/28/14. included in H.R. 5771, which became Public Law No: 113-295 on 12/19/14.
- Women Amendment: Included women, specifically, to be included in the group of individuals who can be selected for the Federal Cyber Scholarship for Service program. Amendment adopted by voice vote in Science Committee on 4/11/13, passed the House under suspension of rules on 4/16/13.
- Foreign financial institution amendment: Expands the type of financial institutions that the president must impose sanctions on to those beyond central banks. Amendment adopted by voice vote in Foreign Affairs Committee on 5/22/13. Passed the House on 7/31/13.
- Gulf War Illness Amendment: Increased funds for gulf war illness research by $10 million. Amendment passed the House on 7/24/13.
- No Torture Amendment: Prohibits Torture. Amendment passed the House on 7/24/13.
- Gulf War Illness Amendment: Increased funding for Gulf War illness research under the Defense Health Program by $1o million. Adopted by voice vote on 6/19/14. Passed the House on 6/20/14.
- Prostate Cancer Amendment: Increased funding for Prostate Cancer research under the Defense Health Program by $10 million. Adopted by voice vote on 6/19/14. Passed the House on 6/20/14.
- Fusion Innovation Amendment: Requires the Department of Energy to notify Congress of innovative designs for fusion energy systems that have the potential to produce energy within 15 years of the start of construction. Amendment passed the House on 2/29/16.
- First Responders Amendment: Ensures that “first responders” are included for membership on the Pain Management Best Practices Interagency Task Force. Amendment passed the House on 5/11/16.
